Charlotte Van Ryn she/her

Charlotte Van Ryn is a fiction writer, editor and Studio Manger at Akin Stockyards. She studied at the University of King’s College in Halifax and African Studies at the University of Ghana. She’s published stories in Broken Pencil Magazine, Words (on) Pages and won the 2016 Blodwyn Memorial Prize for Fiction. She co-hosted The Listening Party, a popular Toronto reading series. A freelance editor with specialization in grants and applications, she began her experience by trading grant writing for artwork from her Akin studio. You can find her walking her hound Ruby in High Park and working on her novel, Deep Blue.
